r in the Video department reporting to Sr. Director of Digital Growth
. This role will focus on leading rapid response production of video content for a variety of platforms including Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube.

This role will be primarily based on-site in our Los Angeles studios, and will work Monday-Friday in the office starting at 8:00am, and will need to be flexible to breaking news moments. We are ideally looking for Los Angeles-based candidates, or candidates willing to relocate before the start date.

Produce and Edit Rapid Response Content for Digital Platforms

• Work with Crooked talent to conceive and strategize shortform videos reacting to or explaining breaking news events
• Capture or assist talent in self-capturing content
• Gather images, b-roll, and other assets to be utilized in the edit
• Directly edit pieces for quick turnaround release

Create clips from Crooked’s popular podcasts

• Work with show teams and talent to select moments from podcast episodes for release across platforms
• Attend weekly show recordings of Hysteria and Strict Scrutiny. Attend interview recordings as needed for Runaway Country, What A Day and Assembly Required
• Fill-in on other show recordings and clipping as needed
• Edit selected clips and add graphics, b-roll, and subtitles when needed
• Address any notes managers or talent may have on various drafts
• Convert clips into various formats for different platforms
• Package final piece(s) for uploading in quick turnaround time

Work with the Video Optimization Specialist and social media team to upload and publish video content

• Utilize templates to create thumbnails for You Tube releases
• Directly upload video content to platforms for publishing

• 4+ years of experience as an online video content creator and working with on-air talent
• Comfortability shooting content “on the fly” for quick turnaround
• Experience working in the News and Politics field with knowledge of relevant players, organizations, and media personalities in the space
• A clear idea of the Crooked brand and tone of voice and excitement related to our mission
• Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Experience with digital video platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram and You Tube
• A knack for creative solutions when things don’t go as planned
• Ability to work under short deadlines
• Knowledge of safety standards for using camera/lighting equipment
• Familiarity with Sony FX6 (or similar) cameras and an understanding of basic photographic principles - aperture, ISO, color temperature, frame rate, etc.

This position is covered under the Writers Guild of America East Collective Bargaining Agreement and the starting salary for this role is $90,000
