Kill phonic Rights, a global music publishing administrator, is seeking to fill the position of Catalog Administrator. We are looking for a motivated individual with knowledge and understanding of global music publishing. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the registration and royalty collection of a growing catalog of songs across dozens of PROs, MROs and CMOs around the world.
As a catalog administrator, you will work closely with other administration team members, as well as the A&R team, to help ingest new songs and catalogs, create registration files, resolve conflicts and claims, and ensure successful administration of royalties from societies and licensing partners.
- Preparing client catalogs for importing and registering. This includes reviewing and updating song splits, recording details, writer and publishing IPI’s and song codes.
- Corresponding with societies and other publishers, updating society agreements for writers and publishing entities, and resolving conflicts, claims, and errors.
- Managing You Tube CMS including content delivery and dispute resolution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the music industry
- Knowledge of music publishing and metadata
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and comfortability with large data sets
- Ability to commute and work at an office in Los Angeles, CA
- You Tube CMS Certification
- Familiarity with Music Maestro
- Understanding of CWR and ACK files
- Self-starter who can work independently, as well as bring ideas when working collaboratively with the team.
