Overview
About High Scale — We’re High Scale, a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising on TV and social media. Think Amazon’s obsession with customer experience meets Space
X’s fearless ambition—that’s the DNA behind everything we do.
We’re a 120-person team of creatives, strategists, and innovators producing thousands of high-impact campaigns weekly for the world’s leading lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios and a global influencer network, we’re ready to 10x our output in 2026—and we need a Color Corrector Video Editor who can seamlessly blend narrative storytelling with high-end visual finishing.
Why This Role Matters
Visual fidelity, narrative flow, and brand elevation are your playground. This is a dual-threat role for the visual perfectionist. You aren’t just cutting footage; you are the final polisher. You will take raw assets and transform them into broadcast-quality commercials and social ads that pop off the screen. In the world of fashion and beauty e-commerce, product color accuracy and skin tones are non-negotiable.
Your ability to balance technical color science with creative storytelling will directly impact our clients brand trust and sales. If you love the edit bay as much as the grading suite, this is your launchpad.
- Execute Hybrid Post-Production
- Handle projects from rough cut to final grade. Edit compelling direct-response ads in Premiere Pro, then apply high-end color finishing within the same workflow.
- Seamlessly switch between storytelling (pacing, music, hooks) and technical finishing (exposure, white balance, look development).
- Advanced Color Grading
- Ensure perfect color accuracy for products (clothing, makeup) and natural, flattering skin tones for talent.
- Expertly match footage from diverse sources—blending high-end cinema cameras (ARRI/RED) with iPhone UGC content in the same timeline.
- Create and manage custom LUTs to streamline workflows for specific client brand identities.
- Visual Quality Control
- Fix exposure issues, remove digital noise, and correct white balance errors to salvage imperfect footage.
- Ensure all deliverables meet strict broadcast and web standards (Rec.
709, sRGB) and maintain visual consistency across 9:16 and 16:9 formats. - Workflow Optimization
- Manage the round-trip workflow between Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve (if required) or master advanced Lumetri workflows for speed.
- Organize project files and color assets so that looks can be easily applied to future campaign iterations.
- A Post-Production Generalist
- 3–5 years of experience in both video editing and color correction (Agency, Commercial, or High-End Freelance).
- A portfolio/reel showing "Before & After" color examples is required.
- Software Expert
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Advanced skills in DaVinci Resolve or deep mastery of Lumetri Color.
- Ability to read scopes (waveform, vectorscope, parade) to objectively verify color accuracy.
- Detail-Obsessed
- You can spot a slight green tint on a wall or a blown-out highlight instantly.
- You understand that "Red" needs to be the exact Pantone shade of the client s product.
- Performance-Minded
- You understand that a beautiful video is useless if it doesn t sell. You edit for retention and grade for clarity and appeal.
- Excellent Communicator
- Strong English proficiency is required. You can explain why a shot needs to be darker or warmer to a non-technical producer.
- Competitive Compensation: $40,000-$70,000/year
- Growth Opportunities:
Influence the visual standard of major global brands and lead post-production quality initiatives. - Relentless Innovation Culture:
Move fast, test constantly, and collaborate with some of the most creative minds in social media and video production.
