We are currently looking for a Project Manager with a focus on Treatment Plants and +8 years or more experience in the heavy civil construction industry to join our team.

The project is a $25 million Treatment Plant repair project at Terminal Island in San Pedro. The project includes structural repairs and improvements to concrete, replacement of the sludge and scum collection system (pumps, chains and flights), installation of new aluminum tank covers, replacement of the HPE piping system, automation of tank influent gates (3 gates per tank), installation of a new automated venturi bypass gate with passive overflow weir, installation of tie-in locations on the deck at the perimeter of the tanks for personnel safety, installation of three spool pipes per tank (total of 18), and installation of one new manual slide gate on tank 6.

• Develop a deep understanding of project documents, including the contract with the owner, subcontracts, cost reports, CPM schedules, specifications, project deliverable documents, correspondence, billings, and related project controls items.
• Lead a project team on a fast-paced project and be knowledgeable in self-performed concrete, mechanical, civil and underground construction.
• Navigate and work within accounting and project documentation software such as Viewpoint Vista and be detail oriented.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent(s) and project engineer(s) to develop and execute work plans and track costs.
• Work on-site to help solve problems that occur during construction.
• Manage cost reports within Vista and monitor project schedule and cost progress.
• Review and approve project invoices and subcontractor payables.
• Support document control activities such as change and claim management.
• Manage subcontractors and develop subcontracts; procurement of materials including purchase orders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management or Engineering preferred
• +8 years of experience in Treatment Plants and Pump Stations construction projects in California
• Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self-perform work
• Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving, and motivational skills
