Are you ready to be a part of one of the most significant aviation infrastructure projects in Los Angeles? We are looking for experienced Construction Managers and Senior Construction Managers to drive the Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction project at LAX.
From the full demolition and rebuild of the T5 headhouse and concourse to complex site/civil work, this is your chance to manage high-impact, multi-year projects in a fast-paced, active airport environment.
Responsibilities- Drive Project Success: Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction packages from start to finish, focusing on schedule certainty and budget delivery.
- Collaborative Leadership: Act as the primary liaison for pre-construction and construction activities, working closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve interfaces and maintain the airport standards.
- On-Site Oversight: Monitor field activities to ensure all work follows approved work plans, Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs), and the latest safety and quality standards.
- Strategic Planning: Develop overall construction planning, identify critical milestones, and manage the assignment of manpower and materials to maximize efficiency.
- Risk & Safety Management: Enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental culture while proactively mitigating risks to operations.
- Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of construction managers.
- Proven Experience:
- Construction Manager: 10+ years of CM experience, preferably on airport projects.
- Senior Construction Manager: 20+ years of CM experience, specifically with large, complex, multi-year projects.
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is required (Master’s preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, construction contracting methodologies, and the full project lifecycle from pre-construction to closeout.
- Communication Mastery: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain complex technical information to various professionals.
- Work Flexibility: A commitment to working full-time on-site at LAX to meet project milestones.
