Superintendent-Commercial Construction

We are seeking experienced Superintendents with Commercial Construction in the luxury retail sector to lead projects located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. As a Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership and supervision to a team of construction professionals and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage subcontractors and provide overall supervision of a project
• Ensure all interaction with clients, architects, and engineers is professional and timely
• Manage the project schedule, including weekly preparation of 3 week look-ahead schedule
• Maintain a daily log of activity and coordinate between trades
• Keep safety as a focus and ensure job sites are operating according to all safety standards
• Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
• Manage close-out process and warranty responses in partnership with Project Manager
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings

Technical Skills:

• Comfort with using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Zoom, preferred knowledge of Procore and Timberline/ Sage

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; junior college or construction education desired
• Five year minimum experience at a commercial general contracting company
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Able to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
• Experience managing subcontractors across multiple trades
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate
