Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a skilled and dedicated Reconstruction Technician to join our team. As a Reconstruction Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties damaged by fire, water, storms, or other disasters. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction and reconstruction tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. Attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute all aspects of property reconstruction following fire, water, storm, or other disaster-related damage.
  • Perform demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring installation, and finishing work to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to understand project scope, timelines, and priorities.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of reconstruction work.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the reconstruction process.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors involved in the reconstruction process.
  • Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and track project progress, documenting work performed, materials used, and any changes or challenges encountered.
  • Identify and report any issues or concerns that may impact the quality or progress of the reconstruction work.
  • Uphold high-quality standards and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results to clients.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining the proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Continuously update and expand technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
  • May assist in estimating and bidding on reconstruction projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in construction or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in construction, reconstruction, or restoration work.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficient in performing various construction tasks, such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, and flooring.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
