Serve as Owner's representative for construction projects managed by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).

• Inspects the construction of a wide variety of airport improvements and utilities projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, contracts, permits, environmental documents, agreements for work, and may provide construction inspection support.
• Documents daily progress of the work, prepares monthly progress payment requests, tracks changes, verifies time and material work, and measures and documents job quantities.
• Documentation and information retrieval may require computer literacy skills.
• Set priorities, make decisions, and work effectively with minimal supervision; deal tactfully with LAWA stakeholders, contractors, construction workers, and the public; conduct themselves professionally at all times.
• Conduct inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, including related structures, in accordance with City and County of Los Angeles standards.
• Oversee the installation of underground wet and dry utilities within or for various Southern California regional agencies.
• Perform inspections for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications set by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
• Ensure compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, with emphasis on pedestrian safety and routing.
• Collaborate professionally within a large team of inspectors.
• Apply extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.

• 5 years or more of experience performing inspection of large-scale Public Works type projects.
• Proven expertise in the installation and inspection of sewer and storm drainage systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control measures.
• Strong working knowledge of City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented professional with extensive field experience and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

• A valid Driver’s License and compliance with PACIFIC’s Vehicle Policy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat (PDF files)
• 3+ references from clients

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Higher education level is preferred.

• OSHA 30 (obtained within the past 4 years).
• No specific technical certification requirement; any technical certification is preferred (e.g., ICC).

• May assume other duties as required/needed.
• May be required to work various shifts as needed.
• Position requires the ability to transit to, from, and between project sites.
• LAWA requires candidates to be local and available fully on-site for this field position.
