Construction Project Scheduler (Public Works/Educational Facilities) DescriptionOur client is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to support major capital improvement, public works, and educational facility projects in the Los Angeles area. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing construction schedules, evaluating contractor submissions, and ensuring alignment with scope, progress, and contractual requirements. Success in this role requires strong hands‑on experience with construction scheduling, advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
, and the ability to interpret multidisciplinary construction drawings. Project Scheduler (Public Works/Educational Facilities) Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain detailed project and program schedules
- Review contractor baseline and monthly schedule updates for logic, accuracy, and compliance
- Conduct QA/QC on schedules, including critical path and resource/cost loading reviews
- Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and support schedule‑related negotiations
- Analyze delays, evaluate entitlement, and provide schedule‑related recommendations
- Conduct periodic site walks to validate progress and update schedules accordingly
- Prepare concise schedule reports and communicate updates to project stakeholders
- Ensure consistent use of schedule standards, coding structures, layouts, and reporting format
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years of construction project scheduling experience required
- Public works or educational facility project experience required
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 required
- Valid driver’s license required
