The Senior Superintendent is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety, and for extensive day‑to‑day management of field operations on their assigned project(s). This includes planning, coordinating sequencing, procuring materials, developing project schedules, and supervising subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely, on‑budget completion while meeting Webcor’s quality standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities- Lead and enforce Webcor’s safety policy and maintain site cleanliness.
- Manage day‑to‑day field operations, including planning, coordination, sequencing, materials procurement, and subcontractor supervision.
- Represent the company in negotiations with owners, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Publish subcontractor schedules weekly, review them at meetings, and submit monthly schedule reports to the owner.
- Handle changes in schedule and scope, recognize delays, document issues, and notify owners promptly.
- Own overall project budget and ensure alignment with schedule.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to keep budget and schedule synchronized.
- Maintain the daily field log.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, inspectors, subcontractors, project management, and design teams.
- Lead, develop, and mentor team members, providing timely feedback and fostering a positive culture.
- Participate in pursuits as required.
- Measure quality and craftsmanship consistently.
- Understand Labor Trade Contracts, Dual Gate Systems, and OSHA requirements for vertical transportation.
- Evaluate hoisting requirements, crane sizes, and placement.
- Organize project site logistics and align project controls.
- Take an active role in subcontract development (F1’s).
- Develop and implement OA/OC programs and oversee the Webcor Punch List Program.
- Ensure inspections are scheduled, coordinated, tracked, and closed out.
- Analyze problems and implement appropriate actions based on comprehensive risk assessment.
- Strategic knowledge of work sequencing and trade packaging.
- Deep understanding of MEPS systems and startup timing during TCO/commissioning.
- Extensive knowledge of formwork and construction systems and ability to facilitate interactions among them.
- Strong grasp of local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Capability to run any project phase from groundbreaking to commissioning and punch‑list, including pre‑construction assistance.
- Comprehensive understanding of all construction facets.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software; ability to build and maintain schedules from scratch.
- Ability to execute a site‑specific safety plan.
- Strategic leadership, training, employee development, motivation, and effective discipline.
- Strategic communication skills, including addressing varied audiences and clear, concise writing.
- Sound judgment and high decision quality.
- Advanced customer focus and collaborative teamwork.
- Demonstrated ownership and responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically ten years of relevant construction experience, including at least three years as a Superintendent.
- OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent safety certification such as STSC or CHST); CPR and First Aid/CPR/AED training completion required. Webcor provides training if not certified.
- Self‑perform experience highly preferred.
- Bi‑lingual abilities a plus.
Range of base pay is $165,000 - $227,500. Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.
