Family Overview

A dynamic and active family in the Culver City area of Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time House Manager & Family Assistant to support the smooth operation of their household. The family has three daughters (ages 7, 11, and 14) who are engaged in school and extracurricular activities, creating a need for a dependable, organized, and proactive professional. The role includes preparing nutritious, high-protein meals using whole foods, managing household errands such as grocery shopping and other day-to-day tasks, and providing safe, reliable transportation to and from school and activities.

This position offers a structured weekday schedule with a break from employment during July and August while the family travels, resuming in September. The family values structure, consistency, and a positive attitude. While a part-time nanny currently supports their youngest child, this role provides the opportunity to oversee household operations fully and take on evolving responsibilities over time. This long‑term position is ideal for a professional who enjoys being a trusted, steady presence in a family’s day‑to‑day life.

Key Responsibilities Household Management & Support
  • Oversee daily household operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and well‑stocked home
  • Run errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office runs, and other household needs
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, focusing on nutritious, high‑protein meals and whole foods (weekly meal prep acceptable)
  • Manage household schedules, deliveries, and maintenance appointments
  • Support with light administrative tasks such as bill payment, appointment scheduling, and correspondence
  • Implement systems that promote organization and efficiency
Children’s Activities & Transportation
  • Pick up and drop off children from school, extracurricular activities, athletics, and social commitments
  • Maintain structured routines and ensure timely arrivals
  • Support the children’s social, academic, and recreational development in alignment with family expectations
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage family calendars and coordinate logistics for travel or vacations
  • Support nanny or other household staff if applicable, providing guidance and oversight
  • Implement household systems to streamline organization and efficiency
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in household management, family assistance, or a related role
  • Knowledge of or certification in nutrition preferred, or demonstrated experience preparing balanced, high‑protein meals using whole foods
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and proactively
  • Dependable, energetic, and professional demeanor
  • Loving, yet able to establish respectful, trusting relationships with children while setting appropriate boundaries when needed
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Up‑to‑date on vaccinations
  • Able to provide 3 strong professional references
Why This Role?

This position offers the opportunity to become a trusted partner to a dynamic family while enjoying the balance of part-time hours. With a structured weekday schedule, competitive pay, and the unique benefit of a summer break while the family travels, this role is ideal for candidates seeking long‑term stability, variety in their work, and meaningful impact in a family setting.
