Overview

A high-growth storage systems and material handling organization is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of engineered racking, shelving, and warehouse infrastructure projects. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented professional with direct exposure to material handling environments who excels at managing multiple moving parts across vendors, installers, schedules, and budgets.

The Project Coordinator will be a key operational link between internal teams and external partners, ensuring projects move efficiently from initial award through installation and final closeout. This position offers long-term career growth, competitive compensation, and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and release purchase orders based on approved vendor, installer, and freight quotations
  • Track production and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites
  • Review, coordinate, and route permits, engineering calculations, and installation drawings for approval
  • Manage change orders, scope revisions, and associated cost impacts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Process invoices, reconcile billing, and support monthly job cost and margin reporting
  • Perform site visits during installation to confirm progress, address field issues, and support installers
  • Monitor project budgets by comparing actual costs against estimates and margin targets
  • Coordinate installation timelines and oversee third-party contractors and service providers
  • Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, installers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived
Qualifications
  • Proven background in material handling, warehouse systems, or storage solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years in project coordination or project management roles
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, permits, and installation drawings
  • Working knowledge of steel fabrication, racking systems, and construction practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe tools, and web-based platforms
  • At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work in a hybrid or remote capacity as required
