The Role

The Manager, LA28 Platinum Access Business Development is a key role within the On Location Custom Product Development and Sales Strategy initiative (e.g., Platinum Access, Amplify) with primary responsibility for proposal development and account management. The role focuses on the IOC (specifically LA 2028), curating customized products and solutions for corporate groups and organizations and building a strong operations/staffing structure to support the program.

The position collaborates with division leads and other teams, including sales, marketing, legal, and operations, to meet client expectations and create efficient processes and a positive working environment.

  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Business Operations
  • Establish and implement initiatives leveraging technology systems and tools to enhance efficiency and streamline operations
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all functional areas; be available to assist other related projects as needed
  • Maintain working knowledge in areas including commercial and stakeholder/affiliate product offerings and inventory;
    Platinum Access products for each OL property; knowledge of competition venue locations and event schedules; authentic cultural experiences and local interests for B2B, corporate guests, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Author and distribute event-related communications to applicable staff
  • Ensure understanding and appreciation of On Location's wider business objectives and client needs
  • Execute other duties as assigned by the team or leadership
  • Business Development
  • From initial contact to contracting and execution, develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, UWHIs, and other VIP clients to drive long-term sales across all On Location properties
  • Identify unique hospitality requirements, cultivate relationships, and design optimal product and program solutions aligned with client objectives
  • Build and manage event budgets during ideation and curation with oversight to ensure financial soundness
  • Author/edit/assist with design and production of proposal materials
  • Manage contracting process, including negotiations, escalations, and approvals to secure best available market rates
  • Support RFIs/RFPs and client briefings with cross-functional support as needed
  • Maintain client records in CRM (Salesforce) and inventory system (Optimo)
  • Collaborate with Program Management on opportunities and feasibility
  • Analyze post-event financials, including sales, expenses, payments, reconciliations, client reporting, and GL allocations
  • Review post-event notes and client surveys to ensure brand quality standards
  • Maintain event summary documentation (e.g., historic sales reporting, surveys, financial reporting)
  • Assemble information from functional areas (objectives, timelines, staffing, budgets, etc.)
  • Onsite attendance at events and client meetings/site visits as required
  • Research, organize, and produce written materials and executive summaries

  • Develop, document, and implement procedures, systems, and operational efficiencies
  • Participate in Team and Leadership Team meetings as needed

  • Monthly expense and/or event budget reconciliations
