Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted
In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.
About the Role:This role sits at the center of Hinge’s mission: helping people form meaningful relationships. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to reimagine how people express themselves and engage with profiles, driving a shift away from endless swiping toward more intentional, personalized dating.
You’ll lead a critical part of the Hinge experience, shaping how identity, self-expression, and personalization come together to improve dating outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, design, research, and data science to ship emotionally resonant, high-impact products.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end product strategy for Hinge’s profiles and discovery surfaces.
- Redesign self-expression on Hinge to promote depth, clarity, and authenticity.
- Explore new interaction patterns that reduce fatigue and increase match quality.
- Use personalization to adapt the experience to user intent and dating context.
- Turn ambiguous opportunities into shipped features through close cross-functional collaboration.
- Communicate product vision, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to partners and leadership.
- Input into the broader Dating Outcomes strategy.
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer tech.
- Experience with personalization, discovery, recommendations, or matching systems.
- Background includes both: a scaled B2C product (social, marketplace, or content-based) and a startup or fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and ownership.
- History of working on core usernot just internal tools or monetization).
- Comfortable running fast experiments and making decisions with incomplete data.
- Cultural curiosity (especially around dating and core segments like Gen Z) and the ability to translate insight into thoughtful product direction.
- Strong product intuition, shaped by deep user empathy.
- Creative, strategic thinker who brings fresh ideas and challenges assumptions.
- Clear communicator who simplifies complex ideas and tradeoffs.
- Resourceful and proactive — can move forward without perfect data or direction.
- High product taste, with a deep interest in emotional nuance and human behavior.
- Collaborative and action-oriented, with a bias toward clarity over consensus.
- Motivated by Hinge’s mission to help people meet meaningfully.
Studies show that some people, especially women and underrepresented groups, are less likely to apply unless they meet every qualification. If you’re passionate about helping people find meaningful connection and think you’d excel in this role, we’d love to hear from you — even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every point.
