Aboutthe Role
Woods Bagot is seeking a Business Development Leader to support our Los Angeles Studio and the broader North American business and client development strategy. Working closely with Principals and Designers, you will lead responses to tenders and project pitches and play a key role in developing innovative, well‑coordinated business development campaigns and client feedback programs. This is a unique opportunity for an energetic and forward‑thinking business development professional to be a central contributor to our strategy, growth, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:Working collaboratively with Principals and studio leadership, you will contribute to the growth of our North American business by:
- Developing a strong understanding of Woods Bagot’s business vision, market positioning, and regional presence.
- Partnering with Principals to shape and deliver a strategic business development plan.
- Establishing and managing a targeted client list and client account program.
- Actively contributing to the client pipeline and identification of new opportunities.
- Driving strong opportunity conversion rates through coordinated pursuit strategies.
- Developing reputation‑building themes and business development campaigns that strengthen market presence.
You will thrive as part of a global Business Development, Marketing and Communications team and bring a strong background in business planning, market research, analysis, and lead generation. You are commercially minded, curious about markets and clients, and confident in translating insight into clear business development strategies. Comfortable working collaboratively across disciplines and regions, you build strong relationships with Principals, designers, and stakeholders to support coordinated and effective pursuits.
You are organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities, with a keen interest in contributing to long‑term growth and strengthening client relationships in a dynamic, design‑led environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects to completion – on time and on budget – often within fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- A self‑motivated, enthusiastic approach, with the personal drive and energy to take ownership and see initiatives through.
- Highly developed listening, written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, supported by a professional and compelling writing style.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Operational excellence in the use of CRM systems and reporting tools to manage pipelines, opportunities suv and performance.
