Job Description & How to Apply Below

Sports Research is growing and we need someone who can keep the inventory train on the tracks without turning it into a circus. This is a hands-on Manager role that blends forecasting, analytics, cross-functional partnership, and tactical execution. You’ll build, refine, and maintain our demand planning engine so the business has the right product in the right place at the right time.

You’ll also roll up your sleeves and dig into the data yourself.

What You’ll Own Forecasting & Planning
  • Lead the monthly demand planning cycle including baseline forecasting, trend analysis, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Build and maintain SKU-level forecasts across e-commerce, wholesale, and new product launches.
  • Monitor demand signals and update forecasts proactively to prevent stockouts or excess.
Inventory & Supply Alignment
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Procurement to ensure demand plans align with production and capacity constraints.
  • Recommend inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies.
  • Track in-stock performance and identify root causes for misses.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Own forecasting accuracy reporting and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze sales trends, promotional impacts, seasonality, and channel behaviors.
  • Provide leadership with clear, concise reporting and actionable recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner tightly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product Development to capture inputs and align on assumptions.
  • Support wholesale and e-commerce teams with demand-related insights, item transitions, and new launch planning.
  • Act as the point person for demand planning questions across the business.
Process & System Ownership
  • Improve the demand planning process, tools, and systems.
  • Help implement or optimize planning software or integrations as the business scales.
  • Create SOPs that make the function efficient and repeatable.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Consumer products, e-commerce, or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis chops. If you can’t pivot table in your sleep, this won’t be fun.
  • Experience with inventory planning systems or ERP tools - Net Suite Preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into decisions.
  • A player/coach mentality; you enjoy managing the process but also doing the work.
  • Bias toward action and a calm, steady approach under pressure.
