Job DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Product Development owns the end-to-end execution of new product launches and key external partner relationships, while supporting demand planning and S&OP cadence. This role sits at the intersection of product, marketing and finance and is accountable for getting products launched on time, in full, and profitably
.
This is a highly operational, detail-driven role that requires strong leadership, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage complex timelines across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities New Product Development (Primary Focus)- Own end-to-end supply chain execution for all NPD launches from concept handoff to warehouse delivery
- Manage packaging development, supplier coordination, sampling, and production readiness
- Build and maintain detailed NPD timelines, proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation plans
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Finance, and 3PL to ensure launches are delivered on time and in full
- Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners as needed to support innovation and scale
- Maintain and own SKU-level margin files
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to identify margin improvement opportunities through cost, mix, and logistics optimization
- Support pricing, cost modeling, and new product margin validation
- Support the monthly S&OP process, including forecast creation, review cadence, and governance
- Drive SKU-level forecast accuracy across A/A+ SKUs, including bias reduction and MAPE improvement
- Translate demand plans into actionable supply plans to support growth while optimizing working capital
- Ensure accurate forecasting of samples and non-revenue demand to avoid supply disruptions
- Establish and continuously improve scalable processes, documentation, and operating rhythms
- Bring structure to complexity—this role requires someone who thrives in organized chaos
- Act as a leader and owner, not just a coordinator
- NPD launches consistently delivered on time and in full
- Improved forecast accuracy, reduced bias, and tighter working capital cycles
- Strong S&OP cadence that leadership trusts and relies on
- 6–10+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or PD within CPG (DTC experience strongly preferred)
- Proven track record owning new product launches end-to-end
- Strong packaging and manufacturing coordination experience
- Deep understanding of demand planning, forecasting, and S&OP processes
- Experience managing 3PL relationships and logistics cost structures
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple complex timelines
- Strong communicator who can lead cross-functional efforts without direct authority
- Data-driven mindset with solid Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
