Corporate Attorney (EC/VC & Startup Experience Preferred)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid — minimum 3 days onsite)
Experience: 2+ years of experience
Hours: 1500 billable - 1800 billable hours but no set requirement + flexible
Compensation: $150k+
We are seeking a sharp, business-minded Corporate Attorney with strong foundational experience in general corporate work and a preference for emerging companies, venture capital, and startup representation
. This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful responsibility, client-facing work, and the ability to grow into an equity partner quickly — sometimes within the first month of joining.
Advise startups, founders, and emerging companies on entity formation, governance, capitalization, and commercial matters.
Support and lead venture financings
, SAFE/convertible note rounds, and related EC/VC transactions.Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements, operational contracts, and corporate documents.
Provide strategic legal guidance that aligns with clients’ growth and scaling goals.
Work directly with the founding partner on high-impact client matters across innovative industries.
2+ years of experience in corporate/transactional work. (Bonus: Big Law)
Experience with (or strong interest in)
EC/VC, startup counseling, and early-stage companies
.Entrepreneurial mindset — willingness to build relationships and bring in business.
Strong drafting skills and ability to operate independently with partner support.
1500+ billable hours (extremely rare for corporate roles).
Direct exposure to companies working in quantum computing, AI, aerospace, and frontier technologies
.Ability to earn equity early — often within the first month.
10-15% origination credit for any business you bring in.
