Job DescriptionA fast-growing premium Chinese spirits brand is establishing its U.S. entity in Los Angeles and is seeking a General Manager to lead U.S. market entry, brand localization, and full-cycle business operations. This role focuses on building the U.S. baijiu category from 0 to 1, including strategy, distribution, marketing, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Market Strategy & Expansion: Build and own the U.S. market strategy, including brand positioning, pricing logic, retail/F&B channel roadmap, and annual revenue targets. Develop market penetration playbooks and category education frameworks.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Lead U.S. entry from product adaptation to distributor onboarding. Oversee channel development across Asian supermarkets, premium liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and cultural event partners.
- Brand Localization & Activation: Drive marketing localization through tasting activations, influencer partnerships, cultural storytelling campaigns, and events that introduce Chinese spirits to U.S. consumers.
- P&L Ownership & Operations: Manage the U.S. entity’s P&L, budget planning, inventory, compliance, and supply chain coordination. Ensure operational excellence and sustainable business growth.
- Leadership & Cross-Border
Collaboration:
Build and lead a U.S.
-based team. Collaborate closely with HQ in Asia to align strategy, provide market feedback, and deliver clear performance reporting. Ensure quarterly goals are consistently met.
- 8+ years of experience in spirits / beverage / FMCG leadership roles in the U.S. market; understanding of the U.S. three-tier alcohol system strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in market-building or expanding a regional business from 0 to 1.
- Experience managing distributors, key accounts, and activation partners.
- Strong execution, strategic thinking, and hands‑on problem‑solving capability.
- Familiarity with cross-cultural communication and managing cross-border teams.
