Position: FIRE CAPTAIN, CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION

Job Description And Duties

Under the general supervision of the Correctional Administrator, Business Services, the Fire Captain is responsible for various technical inspections of fire equipment and emergency response operations at the California State Prison – Los Angeles County (LAC).

Working Conditions

The position is located at 44750 60th Street West, Lancaster, CA 93536. The facility is approximately forty‑five (45) minutes north of Valencia, CA and seventy‑five (75) miles north of downtown Los Angeles.

Salary ranges are $6,110.00 – $6,663.00 for classification A, $6,971.00 – $8,765.00 for classification B, and $7,320.00 – $9,203.00 for classification K. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable.
