Overview

The Supply Chain Planning Lead plays a critical, execution-focused role within the Supply Chain organization, partnering closely with the Sr. Supply Chain Manager and COO to ensure demand planning is accurate, disciplined, and operationally feasible as Fera Pets scales.

This role operates in a fast-paced, high-growth omnichannel environment including DTC (Shopify), Amazon FBA (US & Canada), specialty retail, and large national retailers such as Walmart and Costco. The Supply Chain Planning Lead is accountable for forecast governance, accuracy, and execution alignment, ensuring demand plans are realistic, well-documented, and actionable within real-world logistics and fulfillment constraints.

This is not a passive planning role. Success requires a strong bias toward execution, exceptional organization, and comfort managing many moving parts in a dynamic environment. While this role does not own day-to-day logistics, it is expected to roll up their sleeves and support logistics execution when needed, particularly during launches, disruptions, or periods of rapid growth.

About Fera Pets

Fera Pets is a fast-growing, women-founded pet wellness brand offering science-backed, holistic supplements formulated by our veterinarian and co-founder. Backed by General Mills’ growth equity fund, we are scaling rapidly across digital and retail channels.

We are a small, action-oriented team that values execution, accountability, and clear ownership. We move quickly, make decisions with imperfect data, and expect follow-through. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy building scalable operations, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role

The Supply Chain Planning Lead supports the Sr. Supply Chain Manager and COO by maintaining and continuously improving demand planning processes across all channels. The role focuses on forecast integrity rather than forecast creation—reviewing assumptions, monitoring accuracy and bias, stress-testing plans, and ensuring alignment with logistics and inventory realities.

This role plays a key part in supporting retail launches and expansions by validating volume assumptions, ramp timing, and execution feasibility. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and energized by execution—not just analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning Governance & Accuracy

  • Review, validate, and challenge demand forecasts across all channels and SKUs
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and variance; identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Ensure forecast assumptions are data-driven, realistic, documented, and consistently applied
  • Maintain discipline around forecast change management
  • Own demand planning operating rhythm, including forecast reviews, assumption tracking, and follow-ups
  • Track decisions, risks, and action items to closure
  • Ensure planning outputs translate into clear, executable actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, responsiveness, and planning discipline
  • Refine planning methodologies as the business, SKU count, and retail footprint grow
  • Incorporate learnings from launches, promotions, and historical performance into future plans
  • Document and maintain demand planning SOPs and best practices

Retail Launch & Expansion Support

  • Validate demand assumptions, ramp curves, and timing for new retail launches (including Walmart and Costco)
  • Partner with Sales and Supply Chain to ensure promotions, resets, and store expansions are reflected accurately
  • Monitor post-launch performance and support forecast adjustments

Logistics & Execution Feasibility (Medium Scope)

  • Incorporate logistics constraints into demand plans, including lead times, transit times, DC readiness, and Amazon FBA requirements
  • Partner with logistics and retail operations to assess feasibility and timing
  • Proactively flag risks related to capacity, inbound flow, or inventory positioning
  • Support hands-on logistics execution when needed during launches, disruptions, or peak periods

Inventory Risk Awareness

  • Identify stockout, overstock, and obsolescence risks
  • Support inventory targets and safety stock discussions
  • Help evaluate service-level vs. inventory investment tradeoffs

Cross-Functional & Executive Support

  • Suppor…
