Description
A growing insurance brokerage is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its high-performing Commercial Lines team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing complex accounts in real estate, development, and related industries. This is not a sales role-it's a high-touch service and strategy position focused on long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a focused book of 10-20 middle to large market accounts, totaling $1M-$1.5M in revenue
- Oversee client portfolios with $750K-$1M average premium per account
Lead renewals, coverage reviews, and client communications for high-complexity, low-volume booksServe as a technical resource and strategic partner to both clients and producers - Navigate complex accounts within real estate, construction, and related sectors
- Use Applied EPIC or similar agency systems to maintain accurate documentation
- Hybrid schedule: 2 anchor days (Tuesday and Thursday) in the Walnut Creek office, with flexibility and 3 remote days
- Culture that prioritizes development, mentorship, and long-term growth
- Part of a respected brokerage group with about 50 employees and a long-standing client base
- Structured onboarding with clear expectations and room to grow
- 7-10+ years of Commercial Lines account management experience, ideally with real estate and development clients
- Experience handling mid-to-large premium accounts, not small business or high-volume renewal work
- Strong attention to detail, client-facing professionalism, and ability to manage complex risk profiles
- Background from larger brokerages welcome, but open to professionals from smaller firms with the right skill set
- P&C license not required, but bonus is provided if already held
- Bachelor's degree not required; assessments and interviews will be part of the evaluation process
If you're looking to join a team that values experience, client depth, and professional growth over volume, this may be the right step forward.
