Reporting to the Director of Operation, the Procurement Manager will be a key contributor in strengthening and optimizing Baby2
Baby’s procurement processes to support the organization’s rapid growth and expanding partnerships. This role will help implement formalized procedures and SOPs that ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across all stages of purchasing — from sourcing and vendor negotiation to tracking, delivery, and reporting.
The Procurement Manager will centralize procurement oversight, streamline communication, and help reduce costly delays, all while strengthening vendor relationships and identifying cost-saving opportunities. By implementing efficient procurement practices, this role will improve forecasting and budgeting, creating the operational foundation needed for long-term sustainability and scalable growth.
The Procurement Manager will work Monday–Friday. The work is performed in an office setting and is currently in office or on site 3–5 days per week. The primary office location is 5830 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016, with potential on-site responsibilities at Baby2
Baby’s warehouse located at 16333 Raymer Street, Van Nuys, CA 91406 as well as the future headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
- Supports the creation and implementation of formalized procurement procedures and SOPs to ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability across the organization.
- Sources, evaluates, and negotiates with vendors, including overseas suppliers, ensuring compliance with tariffs, import regulations, and international shipping requirements.
- Builds and maintains strong, strategic vendor relationships to secure favorable pricing, quality, and reliable delivery timelines.
- Partners closely with all departments — including Programs, Corporate Partnerships, Volunteer & Community, Events, Warehouse, and Finance — to anticipate needs, align timelines, and provide a high-level view of organizational purchasing priorities.
- Collaborates with the warehouse team to ensure procurement timelines align with storage capacity, distribution schedules, and inventory management protocols.
- Helps guide the organization in utilizing emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools, to improve procurement efficiency, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Identifies opportunities unique to the nonprofit sector — such as negotiated rates, donated goods, discounts, and value-in-kind exchanges — to maximize purchasing power and optimize resources.
- Monitors procurement budgets and spending, providing accurate forecasting and actionable insights to support leadership decisions.
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive procurement data to enable reporting on purchasing trends, vendor performance, and organizational efficiencies.

Baby events and distributions across Los Angeles, as needed. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a high-volume or multi-department environment.
- Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate with vendors, including experience managing overseas suppliers and navigating tariffs and import/export regulations.
