The Program Coordinator, an employee of Harbor Freight Tools donating services to the foundation, plays a vital role in a small, dynamic team. This role involves contributing to strategic planning, supporting grantmaking operations, and assisting with outreach activities. The coordinator will also support Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, advancing skilled trades education across U.S. public high schools.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage administrative functions for the foundation's program team, including expense and travel reports.
- Coordinate meetings with team members and external partners such as grantees, advisors, and community stakeholders.
- Support weekly meetings with program, legal, and finance teams.
- Develop and maintain a database of funders and related entities.
- Assist in the grantmaking process, including research and analysis of prospective grantees.
- Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, and issue analyses.
- Participate in team efforts supporting Harbor Freight Tools for Schools.
- Maintain digital files for grantees and initiatives, ensuring they are organized for reporting and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to digital databases and grant management systems.
- Manage the program team calendar and support strategic planning activities.
- Represent the foundation at select programs related to grantmaking and philanthropy.
- Assist with operational tasks, including budget management and tax filings.
- Stay informed about developments in philanthropy and the foundation’s areas of interest.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
