Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking an Administrative Operations Lead to provide strategic oversight of administrative services and day-to-day operations for the department’s financial and purchasing functions. This role oversees core administrative activities, including finance and general management, and plays a key role in both short- and long-term strategic planning that supports the department’s mission and operational goals.

The Administrative Operations Lead manages and directly supervises an administrative team, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across multidisciplinary units. Serving as a trusted advisor to departmental leadership, this role analyzes complex operational issues, interprets and applies policies related to fiscal management, contracts and grants, and resource allocation, and recommends effective solutions. The incumbent exercises sound judgment within established policies and procedures and ensures accountability and responsible stewardship of operational, financial, and human resources in alignment with departmental priorities.

Qualifications
  • Experience in fiscal management, contracts and grants, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to supervise administrative teams and provide strategic guidance to leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and ensure compliance with institutional and departmental procedures.
Additional information

Annual range: $78,500–$163,600.
