OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Associate Dean for Research and the Director of the UCLA Center for Oral/Head and Neck Oncology Research (COHNOR), incumbent serves as the following roles.
Responsibilities- Research Training Grants Coordinator: serves as the coordinator for NIH funded Training Grants (T90/R90, R25 BIG DOC; R25 Rigor & Reproducibility and K12 DSPP). Responsibilities include grant administration for ~40 trainees per year, acting as the primary contact for trainees and PIs, preparing paperwork, maintaining appointment/termination data, advising on budget guidelines per NIH and UCLA policies, handling disbursement records, leading annual progress reports (RPPR), and representing the School of Dentistry's Training programs at the annual American Association for Dental Research conference.
- Administrative Coordinator to the Associate Dean of Research: provide administrative and research support to the Associate Dean, including pre- and post-award grant support, maintaining accurate contact information for all T90/R90 grant participants, coordinating meetings, taking minutes, arranging national and international travel, tracking expenditures (~$100,000/year), assisting with the School of Dentistry Annual Report, and supporting School events such as the Annual Research Day.
- Supervision and collaboration: supervise pre-award analyst and provide cross-coverage of the pre-award office; supervise the School of Dentistry’s Grant Analyst in proposal development, budgeting, and interactions with funding agencies, campus offices, and external partners; ensure timely and accurate reporting and submission by agency deadlines.
