Office Assistant II – Bilingual Spanish (NLACRC) – Job #623

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to provide essential support to our Consumer Services team in the San Fernando Valley (Chatsworth). This is a part‑time, bilingual position focused on clerical, reception, and mailroom duties with a strong customer‑service orientation.

Base Pay: $21.41/hr – $30.26/hr Responsibilities
  • Answer a high volume of phone calls, transfer calls, and provide general information to consumers, families, and visitors.
  • Greet visitors, check in appointments, and ensure that consumers and visitors are directed to the appropriate staff.
  • Schedule appointments for consumers, related parties, and internal staff, and reserve rooms for meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain department calendars, file records, and manage paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports by collecting and collating information; type, input, and store documents in computer databases and tracking systems.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes; run outgoing mail through postage machines and package materials for shipping.
  • Serve and maintain office equipment, including toner replacement and troubleshooting paper jams.
  • Manage office supplies inventory, stock, and procurement as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; two (2) years of related experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of general office functions and customer‑service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, accurate data entry, and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi‑task, and an organized work style.
  • Ability to speak and write in both English and Spanish (bilingualism is required).
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation, or an acceptable substitute.
