Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

A high-profile client of ours is seeking a high-energy, mission-driven Executive Assistant to support a long-tenured President & CEO. This is a unique, high-impact role that goes well beyond traditional administrative support and offers meaningful exposure to executive leadership, board interaction, and grants-related work.

This position is ideal for someone with nonprofit experience who is excited to step into a trusted executive partnership role while staying closely connected to programs, funding, and community impact.

Why This Role Is Different
  • The President manages her own calendar and travel — this role is strategic, not transactional
  • Daily interaction with executive leadership, helping translate priorities into action across departments
  • Ownership of a small grants program, including leading weekly meetings, reporting, and compliance
  • Exposure to board relations and governance support
  • Strong organizational stability and leadership continuity
  • Opportunity to grow within a respected, expanding mission-driven organization
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the President & CEO, supporting their ability to lead effectively
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on sensitive matters
  • Manage and support a grants program, including tracking, reporting, and facilitating meetings
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Take meeting minutes and follow up on action items
  • Support board-related activities and governance processes
  • Assist with special projects, events, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Anticipate leadership needs and proactively prepare materials for meetings and engagements
What We’re Looking For
  • College degree required
  • Prior nonprofit experience required
  • Background in executive support, program management, or grants administration preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • High discretion, sound judgment, and comfort handling confidential information
