Round Hill Search is partnering with a highly regarded boutique law firm in Los Angeles to identify a Billing Coordinator to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated billing professional with strong technical aptitude and a commitment to accuracy and service. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process and supporting the firm’s attorneys and clients with billing-related inquiries.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is passionate about streamlining systems and processes.
- Manage the firm-wide monthly billing cycle, including:
- Generating and distributing prebills
- Reviewing and editing time and expense entries
- Finalizing invoices via email or e-billing platforms
- Assist with time entry for attorneys and independent contractors
- Monitor work in progress (WIP) and proactively follow up with timekeepers for timely, accurate time submission
- Prepare short form billing statements for real estate matters
- Respond promptly to billing and accounting inquiries from attorneys and clients
- Support accounts receivable collections efforts
- Manage client trust and advance account balances
- Reconcile real estate closing transactions
- Monitor and respond to emails in the Accounting inbox, including inquiries from vendors and clients
- Technically adept with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Experience with Coyote Analytics highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred
- Prior exposure to e-billing platforms a plus
- Self-starter with excellent follow-through and minimal need for supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
- Professional, collaborative, and responsive demeanor
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
- Hours:
40 hours/week with occasional overtime as needed - Work Environment:
Fully in-person - Compensation:
Hourly pay within a base range of $75,000–$90,000 annually
