Major DutiesEMERGENCY HIRE / SHORT TERM APPOINTMENTS (Including Casual Workers and Special Consultants). Duties and responsibilities will be dependent upon classification.
QualificationsCLERICAL POOL:
Equivalent to one year to three years of full‑time general office clerical work that has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed. College education or vocational school training in business or a related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience.
- Type at a corrected rate of 45 words per minute.
- Thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Office methods, procedures, and practices.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Learn, identify, and independently interpret and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve routine clerical problems.
- Work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Independently prepare and draft clear and concise final form of memoranda and correspondence.
- Keep moderately complex records and files.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
- Operate standard office machines and computers; proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.

Pay, Benefits, & Work ScheduleSalary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC). Temporary; work schedule varies.
