As we expand our flight operations and secure multi-mission U.S. government support, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to ensure the financial integrity and operational agility that fuels our rapid progress.
The RoleAs our Staff Accountant
, you will serve as the backbone of our financial operations. This is not a role for a passive processor; it is an opportunity to own the financial data that powers high-stakes engineering. You will translate complex operational milestones into precise financial records, maintaining the rigor required by government contracts while fostering the dynamic pace of a high-growth startup.
- Financial Stewardship: Orchestrate full-cycle accounting functions, including meticulous general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliation across all subledgers.
- Precision Closing: Drive the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
- Operational Oversight: Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable lifecycle, including revenue recognition tracking and DSO optimization.
- Process Engineering: Develop and fortify internal controls, standardizing accounting policies to ensure we scale with the same precision with which we design our spacecraft.
- Strategic Reporting: Utilize your proficiency in ERP systems to provide actionable financial insights and analytics that support leadership decision-making.
- Audit Readiness: Serve as a primary point of contact for audit support, maintaining impeccable documentation and historical integrity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA certification is highly regarded.
- Experience: 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or fast-growth startup environment. Experience with in aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting is a significant advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of U.S. GAAP. High-level aptitude in Excel and demonstrated success using ERP systems (e.g., Quick Books Advanced, Net Suite, SAP, or Oracle).
- The Mindset: A self-starting, meticulous problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of high-level financial strategy and rigorous, hands-on detail work.

- Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience).
