Staff Accountant (Must have Commercial Real Estate Experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a "hit the ground running" mentality. This role is a non-negotiable addition to our West Hollywood team, focusing on the day-to-day financial health of our commercial real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for the foundational accounting cycle, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle AP/AR: Manage high-volume accounts payable and receivable specifically for commercial properties.
- Property Accounting: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger for assigned entities.
- CAM Support: Assist in the preparation and calculation of annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
- Data Integrity: Utilize Yardi and Quick Books to ensure all financial records are audit-ready.
- Reporting: Prepare preliminary monthly financial statements and schedules for review.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years of direct accounting experience, specifically within Commercial Real Estate.
- Software: Must have professional-level proficiency in Yardi and Quick Books.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Skills: Strong understanding of property-level reporting and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
