Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy across financial records.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper financial controls and compliance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff and support team development.
- Strong hands-on experience in general accounting functions and financial reporting.
- Background in the insurance industry is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to lead process transformation and implement best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems relevant to mid-sized organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial data review.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of accounting processes.
