Bookkeeper​/Accounting Clerk

California Institute of Health & Social Services is excited to announce an opportunity to join our mission-driven nonprofit organization as a Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk, this is a Part-Time position (15 - 20 hrs./week). This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting a meaningful cause.

• Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Track restricted and unrestricted funds
• Assist with grant reporting and donor contribution records
• Support payroll and expense reimbursements
• Maintain organized financial files for audits and board reporting

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)
• 12 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quick Books experience a plus)
• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Must pass state mandated background screenings, DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Check Index (CACI) fingerprinting.
• Health Screening and TB test required before employment.
• First Aid & CPR certification required (can be completed within days after hire).
