Senior Tax Associate

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Senior to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring solid public accounting experience and the ability to guide and support junior staff. This role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, assisting with tax planning strategies, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations for compliance and planning opportunities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of effective tax strategies for clients.
• Review work prepared by staff and provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
• Assist with IRS and state tax audits, including research, documentation, and communication with tax authorities.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation.
• Prior experience in a supervisory, senior, or lead role reviewing staff work.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.

$85,000 - $105,000, (paid overtime at 1.5 x hourly rate)
