Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting activity including the general ledger accounts receivable and cash related tasks.
- Supervise accounting staff review completed work and ensure accuracy across all assigned responsibilities.
- Lead close activities for monthly quarterly and yearly reporting and ensure financial statements are completed in accordance with accounting standards.
- Review and approve journal entries maintain accurate records and complete remaining balance sheet reconciliations that require managerial oversight.
- Work with corporate teams on close activity and prepare materials schedules and reports that support senior leadership review.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field along with a CPA certification.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with preference for experience in manufacturing.
- 5+ years of managerial experience leading accounting staff.
- Show strong understanding of accounting standards financial statement preparation and internal control concepts.
- Use enterprise systems and advanced Excel functions with confidence.
- Prepare financial packages that include activity summaries performance metrics and support schedules for management.
- Contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts and assist with monitoring progress toward goals.
- Maintain and update internal controls accounting policies and operating procedures to support audit readiness and stable growth.
- Serve as a point of contact for accounting related matters including coordination with internal and external auditors.
- Mentor and develop team members by promoting accuracy continuous learning and reliable work habits.
