We are searching for a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our client in the professional services industry. This position will be hands-on, interacting and coordinating with colleagues in A/P, A/R, Payroll, Tax, HR and various business departments to ensure proper execution of accounting functions and reporting of results. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
Expected starting base salary $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
Job Description:
- Manage complex accounting processes, accounting transactions, and account reconciliations during the month-end accounting close cycle.
- Manage the entire consolidations process on a monthly basis.
- Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable and Payroll departments.
- Assist in the financial reporting process on a monthly basis.
- Provide support to the Holding Company and Senior Management in regards to the preparation of the Company's financial information.
- Work with internal and external auditors for all compliance-related items and requests.
- Assist with tax-related matters.
- Continually evaluate accounting procedures, processes, and systems for improvement in order to gain efficiencies and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting) plus 5-7 years of related experience required
- Experience managing multiple direct reports
- Must have recent Workday experience as well as previous exposure to ADP
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Legal Industry not required but helpful
- Good with people and the rest of the team (not client facing) - might deal with attorneys too
- Chrome River is a plus (AP/Expenses)
