Job Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts payable transactions across a portfolio of properties.
- Allocate expenses accurately to the appropriate properties and cost centers.
- Perform bi-weekly check runs, typically handling 40+ payments per cycle.
- Assist with general accounting tasks to support the broader finance team.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of new AP automation tools like Smart AP.
- Hands-on experience in accounts payable within the real estate industry is required.
- Proficiency with Yardi software, especially Voyager or Breeze.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Ability to manage multiple property accounts and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Familiarity with automated AP systems and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a similar accounts payable role.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving systems and processes.
