Our client in the entertainment and music industry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant II to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of accounting experience and will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including corporate allocations, account reconciliations, and treasury functions. This role requires proficiency in JDEdwards and Concur, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.
Note:
This is a 6 Month Contract with high potential of extensions/conversion!
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in JDEdwards and Concur.
- Strong understanding of balance sheets, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with treasury functions and AP treasury processes.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in the entertainment or live events industry.
- Familiarity with positive pay and wire processing.
- Knowledge of corporate allocations and suspense account management.
- Assist with corporate allocations and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheets.
- Record journal entries within JDEdwards.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including closing books and cleaning suspense accounts.
- Approve and code expense reports using Concur.
- Perform treasury duties, including AP treasury functions and processing wires.
- Assist with clearing positive pay and other treasury-related tasks.
- Collaborate with the bank reconciliation team.
- Help code invoices and maintain the chart of accounts.
$40 to 45/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
