Job Description
We are looking for a staff accountant to join our team! This is a part time schedule 15-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Prepare individual and business tax returns, including:
- Form 1040 (W-2, Schedule C, Schedule E, capital gains)
- Form 1065, 1120-S (basic to moderate complexity)
- Organize and review client tax documents
- Enter and reconcile tax data using professional tax software
- Identify missing information and communicate questions clearly
- Assist with tax notices
- Follow firm procedures and deadlines during peak season
- 1-2 years of tax season experience in a CPA firm or similar environment
- Familiarity with tax software:
Lacerte or Proconnect is a plus - Working knowledge of Quick Books is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
- Professional communication and reliability during peak periods
