Senior Staff Accountant
A company near West Hollywood is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, timely closes, and efficient processing of vendor payments.
What you need for this role- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts; investigate and resolve variances
- Support preparation of monthly financial statements and internal management reporting
- Maintain schedules related to prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment runs
- Ensure proper expense classification and timely vendor payments
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records, process new vendor setups, and support W-9 and 1099 compliance
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues efficiently
- Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows and internal controls
