Senior Accountant

A mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on affordable housing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial management and compliance of its affordable housing portfolio. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, distributions, and capital activity related to affordable housing entities.

• Prepare and review monthly financials and supporting schedules for joint venture partners
• Maintain equity, preferred return, and cash flow schedules
• Respond to JV financial inquiries and participate in recurring partner calls
• Prepare and process monthly and quarterly distributions
• Coordinate approvals with internal teams and JV partners
• Prepare and upload required lender reporting packages
• Support audits, tax return preparation, and regulatory requests
• Support annual and ongoing cash flow projections for partners and lenders

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Affordable housing or nonprofit real estate accounting experience required
• Advanced Excel skills, Yardi or similar ERP preferred

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 a year
