A growing firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to provide critical support during the upcoming tax season, with the potential to transition into a long‑term role.
About the OpportunityThis position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced public accounting environment and can step in quickly to support a diverse range of client tax needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and support tax staff and senior associates in their day‑to‑day work
- Oversee a portfolio of ongoing tax engagements, ensuring accurate execution and timely delivery
- Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide recommendations
- Review and sign off on individual and business tax returns
- Prepare advanced and technical tax filings as needed
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and departmental success
- Participate in business development efforts when appropriate
- Handle additional tax‑related tasks as assigned
- Active CPA license (required)
- Minimum 6+ years of experience within a public accounting or tax‑focused environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; advanced tax degree preferred
- Proven experience managing multiple clients and tax engagements simultaneously
- Strong technical knowledge of tax concepts for individuals and various business entities
- Proficiency with common tax and office software
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and in person
