The Staff Accountant will support the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records across all DWP business units. This role will be responsible for accounts receivable, revenue entry, reconciliations, and general ledger support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple financial workflows across different business entities.
Primary Responsibilities- Own the Accounts Receivable function, including processing and coding vendor invoices, uploading bills into Net Suite, managing approvals, and ensuring timely payments.
- Create and issue invoices for DWP customers, track collections and record revenue in line with festival dates.
- Code and upload daily bank transactions for cash inflows across multiple accounts into Net Suite.
- Record revenue entries for all business units as soon as supporting data becomes available.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including deferred revenue, AP, and other assigned accounts.
- Assist with cash inflow tracking and support cash flow forecasting.
- Capitalize fixed assets, maintain Cap Ex schedules and record depreciation on a monthly basis.
- Process artist settlements during festivals and ensure timely payments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and support accurate expense tracking.
- Support ad hoc projects and assist with special accounting initiatives as needed.
- Provide audit support and assist with audit requests and documentation.
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on Accounts Receivable responsibility.
- Net Suite experience is highly preferred, along with familiarity with Ramp and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation workflows.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Experience in entertainment, live events, or venue operations is a strong plus.
This role is designed for a high-performing accountant who is eager to grow. As experience and proficiency increase, this position is expected to take on expanded responsibilities across general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting, with the goal of developing into a Senior Staff Accountant over time.
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000 and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. This represents the typical salary range for this role and is just one component of DWP's total compensation package for employees.
