Our client provides top-tier advisory services to their clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 nationwide. We are looking for a senior who is interested in joining their accounting advisory group.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients on accounting and financial matters, including process improvements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Research and interpret accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements to provide guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions. Prepare technical memos and position papers documenting accounting conclusions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, footnotes, MD&A disclosures) and financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements).
- Perform GL accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with accounting principles and internal policies.
- Support clients who are evaluating and executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, and debt and equity financings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact. Understand client needs and objectives and deliver solutions that add value and meet expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or relevant professional certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting, past or current Big 4 experience required.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
