Accountant II

Responsibilities

Kforce entertainment client is seeking an Accountant for a contract assignment in Los Angeles, CA. This position is onsite Monday through Friday 9am-6pm.

• Reviews and analyzes license agreements (interprets contractual terms; establishes revenue recognition requirements; establishes billing and payment terms)
• Enters contracts into Media Maestro (PHE's licensing platform)
• Reviews statements sent through the licensee portal and pushes statement to Media Maestro
• Performs activities (reconciliations, title issues, etc.) required for processing statements in Media Maestro to ensure the correct recognition of revenue
• Tracks minimum guarantees and recoupment status
• Invoices minimum guarantees and royalties to customers
• Performs detailed analysis and research for reconciliation of accounts
• Prepares monthly reporting (AR Aging, Bad Debt, P&L, etc.)
• Responds to inquiries from customers and planning/commercial teams
• Review receivables for past due balances and work with customers for resolution
• Prepare cash application journals
• Prepare month end accruals (domestic)
• Manages accounting for inventory related to distribution deal
• Assists with ad-hoc accounting and reporting

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS- international accounting principles
• Experience in month end close and reporting preferred
• Experience in entertainment industry preferred
• Experience contract review

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
