Accounts Receivable Specialist

Ledgent Accounting & Finance has partnered with a growing utilities company and is actively seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team! This is a contract to hire position and onsite Monday-Friday.

In this role, you'll manage the full AR cycle—invoicing, applying payments, reviewing aging reports, and driving collections—to support accurate billing and strong cash flow. Experience in a Professional Services environment is highly preferred.

• Generate and issue accurate client invoices
• Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Review AR aging to identify past‑due balances
• Conduct professional collections outreach and resolve billing issues
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate billing

• 2-4+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong background in invoicing, payment application, and collections
• Experience in Professional Services (consulting, legal, IT services, etc.) a plus
• High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with AR/billing software or ERP systems
