Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, assist financial processes, and contribute to monthly close and reporting. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience who is extremely detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and excited about working in the music rights space.
You will play a critical role in strengthening our accounting infrastructure and supporting a high‑growth music rights business. This role will report to the Assistant Controller and expose you to senior leaders. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, comfortable working with large data sets, and excited about learning the unique accounting dynamics of a music rights business.
You Will:- Own key pieces of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue‑related schedules.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor invoice management, payment runs, and monitoring incoming royalty and licensing receipts.
- Help maintain clean, audit‑ready books through strong documentation and consistent process discipline.
- Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and technical accounting memos to support internal controls, audit readiness, and consistency in financial operations.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements, system upgrades, automation initiatives, and scalability projects as the company grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate accounting, audit, royalty accounting, or entertainment industry experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Experience working with large data sets; proficiency in Excel required.
- Proficiency with Net Suite strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with royalty systems, data processing, or music industry accounting a plus (ex: Curve).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally and managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the music industry and a passion for innovation within the sector.
SALARY RANGE: $70,/year
