Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract to Permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting operations. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment while expanding their expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.

- Maintain and organize financial records, reports, and documentation.

- Reconcile invoices, statements, and accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

- Assist in performing bank reconciliations and updating ledger entries.

- Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end financial closings.

- Verify and post transaction details into accounting systems and databases.

- Handle petty cash disbursements and process employee expense reports.

- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to address financial inquiries.

- Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of the accounting department. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Quick Books, and strong data entry skills.

- Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
