Job Description:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including journal entries and supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including preparing invoices and reconciling accounts
- Prepare schedules and work papers for audits
- Respond to audit and tax requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Support the preparation of tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax returns
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile sub-ledger accounts
- Prepare and record adjusting journal entries
- Assist with the month-end close process, including preparing accruals, deferred rent, and other related journal entries
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or in place of a degree, 3+ years of relevant experience
- 1-2 years of accounting experience required
- Yardi Voyager experience preferred
